Frequently Asked Questions

We are a Lennox, Bradford White, Intertherm, HTP and Ritchie dealer, but we will work on almost anything. We have many common parts in stock and can order anything we do not carry.

We recommend every 2-3 months minimum. If you have animals or live in the country you may have to do it more often. We have all sizes of filters to suit your needs.

The two main types of filters are Pleated and Non-Pleated. Pleated filters will give you better air quality as it does a much better job removing smaller airborne particles.

Non-Pleated are the bare minimum to keep your furnace protected from failure due to dust and dirt buildup.

First thing to check is your thermostat, make sure your setting are correct, if it is a programmable thermostat sometimes the schedule can interrupt a call for heat. Next make sure you intake and exhaust pipes for the furnace are free and clear of snow and ice. Last thing you can do is call a professional. Contact

This one is ultimately up to the home owner. When a hot water heater is 8-12 years old we start to see the components start to break down and fail, often times the homeowner will pay the price of a new tank just in repair parts. It would be a smart idea to consider replacing the hot water heater so that repairs are not nickel and diming you.

The quality of the water is the biggest factor in the life of a hot water heater. Better quality water can be achieved by installing a water softener. Contact

Call your local gas provider and isolate the gas if it is safe to do so.

Carbon monoxide(CO) is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas produced by burning gasoline, wood, propane, charcoal or other fuel. Improperly ventilated appliances and engines, particularly in a tightly sealed or enclosed space, may allow carbon monoxide to accumulate to dangerous levels.

If you think you or someone you’re with may have carbon monoxide poisoning, get into fresh air and seek emergency medical care.

Symptoms may include: headache, weakness, dizziness, nausea or vomiting, shortness of breath, confusion. blurred vision, loss of consciousness.

It is a very good idea to install multiple CO detectors in your house, and make sure they are not expired. CO detectors have a lifespan of about seven years.

We carry CO detectors. Contact
